Actually quite a clever concept. I had to read the instructions outside of the game to know how it worked though, I wish the instructions were inside the game somehow. It felt strange to have a knight and be unable to swing a sword to start with but it makes sense later, but perhaps there would be a way to indicate this earlier. Or even just let the player fight with fists first and die quickly because they are so weak. I also wish the instructions were presented at the relevant moment, you learn about the E key but it doesn't do anything at first so I couldn't tell what the key did. Maybe if only once you collect an item does it instruct you to press E to grab, then tells you about the altars.

Yea there was a big pivot last minute causing us to rush out the idea so we ended up without a real good way to have the intro experience. That first life does feel really bad, i wanted to have less health for it or even some dialouge but we didnt have the time, and i do really like the idea of only having your fists at the begining that would have been a good way to portray it. And yea same with the E prompt would have been much nicer after you acctually had something to use it on XD

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I agree, would have definitely had liked to have put some in-game guidance. It simply came down to the wire and we ran out of time. We had also planned to have more abilities/enemies/etc. for more variety in your build. Having the default be fists is a good idea! May add that in a update.
