Oooh. This plays nice. I love that this looks like a PS1 game and the 2d sprites in a 3d area. Its like doom style but better. I also love rogue like games and this is like a rogue like except for you can rebirth.

I love the idea of levelling up exponentially. Getting a damage boost, beating the game again, getting a fire rate boost, restarting, and continue. its really fun. I have on criticism though which I was really sad wasn't in the game.

I WISH that as you levelled up, the waves got larger. I wish more things spawned, different types of enemies existed, different types of ammo, etc. That would have been great. But just like a lot of other games in this jam, 5 days is brutal. Nobody can make their game as they envision at the start. Your game here, it's definitely a start. It is a lot farther than just a start. It is literally a working game that is entertaining to play. But if you were able to add more detail to the game to really increase the length a player can play it, it would be great.

I managed to get my damage up to level 11 and bullet speed very high too. This made it so I was blasting through the waves very quickly. It would have been amazing if I had more enemies to fight. I also think that my health was too high, or the enemies didn't do enough damage. I was able to quickly walk away from the enemies bullets. I think that you could have a look at enemy aim predictions? If they get your movement direction and speed and fire to where you should end up would make this game a lot more challenging!

Overall, great game. Love the style. Really fun to play.

Thank you very much for the amazing feedback! I agree with everything you said and we aim to work on those aspects of the game in the future after the jam ends. But when you said you wish the waves got larger you mean after you get the upgrade right? Because the waves do get larger when you don't get upgrades and just skip the sacrifice.

Ahhh. I didn't realise that. I never really skipped the wave. I would just play the round, have enough to upgrade and decide to upgrade. I managed to upgrade each time since the damage upgrade cost around 40 but I was getting about 100-150 souls per round.

By the way, I noticed my download is being detected as a virus for me and it must be a false positive. Did it happen to you as well?

I did not get a message saying virus detected. Although on some other peoples games I have played, I noticed that their games were detected as viruses. Your game was not flagged for me. I only use windows defender though, and for me, that's good enough but maybe other anti viruses flag this.
