First of all, congrats on the submission and going to the end of the jam! Now... the game lacks animations which could greatly improve the visual appeal (walking animation for example), the jumping animation is pretty simple (just a rescale of the character), you could add more animations to it as well.
The game also lacks clarity in the inputs, I know it's intuitive to press "E" to interact and "spacebar" to jump as well as "WASD" to walk, however the lack of prompts can be confusing to players that are not used to play games in the computer or games at all. So this can compromise accessibility (this is also a problem in our project but we tried to place prompts on interactable objects to make it clearer). This is especially important with ground items and other interactable objects like opening the door, you could implement popups like the classic "Pickup Key" or "Open Door" so that the player knows that he can actually interact with objects. Some games implement instant pickups that don't require any input from the player (just touching them picks them up) and I thought this was the case at first but I quickly realized I had to press E to pick the Key and then open the door later. Be mindful that my intuition was because I play a lot of PC games which have this consensus in controls, however a player that is not used to this may get lost easily. Make the controls clear for the player.
There's a simple narrative behind the game which somehow links it to the jams theme and I enjoyed the little intro with the voiceover, however I thought the dialogue would accompany the voice automatically which it didn't. Having to press to continue with the dialogue with a voice over that goes through all of it automatically is a little weird: either make it like you have it here and having to press to continue but keep the voice over separated so that it only starts when the respective text is on the screen or have the text accompany the voice over automatically.
Overall I feel the game needs a little work but don't be demotivated by the criticism! See these as improvements you can make for later and for future projects!
Also I would appreciate if you could rate our submission and give us feedback as well! Hope you enjoy our game!
