I completely understand your frustration and that you expected to play as Star instead of experiencing this third-person gameplay. Keep in mind that this is an alpha demo, and there's still a lot—a lot—of content left to develop and explore. I truly regret that I can't include everything the final game will have in this alpha version, but I really appreciate you giving it a chance and sharing your feedback with me.
