Nice polish on the gameplay! I had an issue though where the cards were very small on my large screen no matter my browser tab zoom size.

I like the theme! I think Blackjack is a bit tricky for this kind of progression though, as losing 3 times in a row (two lives and the dealer hand) is not at all uncommon - and in fact, I found the optimal strategy was just bust out at the start until you get a winning death hand and then you can "start your run."

Instead of lives, it might be interesting to start with a large chip stack, enabling some losing runs, and incorporate the "death hand" after x losses? Just some quick thoughts. Nice work for your first jam, I like the card art and music too!

Thank you! Sorry for the small cards I tried to look into how to make a responsive interface, but yeah I didn't get very far.

I really like that idea. Initially, I wanted the game to revolve around the chips, starting with a stack of chips and the idea being to steal the dealer's chips . You could even bet your own chips to steal more by beating the dealer or even asking death for a favor to get more chips, but due to time and knowledge constraints, I settled on a simpler theme of lives.
