This is genius! Great game and fits with the theme well. The game design is top notch and smooth. Sound is good, visual effects are great. The only one thing it lacked is something other than the good story to keep me typing the code. Or maybe it is story, cause when I was typing your thoughts and ideas I had more fun. Typing the code was less exciting. So it is an amazing game that gets repetitive.
Think of it like a Metroidvania that lacks that extra level variety to keep you exploring.
That is completely 110% understandable for a game jam. Your work here is outstanding.

Wow, I appreciate the praise and feedback! I agree, the game play takes a certain type of person to enjoy, especially the code parts. I had ideas to make levels interact more with each other and have a different type of level to provide a break between typing, however, due to my inexperience with game development and the time constraint I was unable to bring those ideas to life.
