Is a "Desert" quest optional? because i'm fr cooked and suck with the map coordinates, latitude & everything about it 😭,i hope developer indivi will do somethings about it to make it simple like (Left,Right,Forward,Down) on the map, cuz it will make the game more enjoyable and less frustration for a player like me that stupid at a math and geography 😢.

It is optional but if you want to progress bell and Cassie's stories then the desert is a must for clearing. If you're confused about the coordinates and stuff, go to the LD+ wiki for the directions

Did you mean "clearing" as a different path or somethings like not a main quest?? if you understand what i'm sayin. My current focus quest is about the "Giant Plant", because i want to get in the villages (spoiler alert).

Its like an extension of the Cassie quest after the don quest, just get to the desert city and explore it thoroughly. You'll see what I mean.

Im not sure what classifies as a "main" quest since the quest system is still vague and it varies on the players interests but the desert quest is a part of the logbook so...

Again, take your time to get there. It is pretty hard if you don't know direction's very well (I sucked at it too at first try 😭😭)

I've found personally that Repulsion Spray is super helpful in the Desert. Even when you know which way to go, those Harpies can make it really easy to lose count. I also struggled with the coordinates initially as well. There are tools in the Desert that you can find that make navigation a whole lot easier. And as the above comment mentioned, the wiki is also really helpful.

What exactly do you consider to be "optional"? This game doesn't have a single linear storyline or end point (yet), so literally everything in the game could be seen as "optional".

That being said, you can do most of the useful stuff by just stocking up on stamina potions and drinking a bunch between every tile you walk. Once you get the compass it becomes trivial to go wherever you want.
