That is not what I am saying... I am saying that such a emotional response to game characters, or any fictional character, normally comes about because you clicked with them, got somehow invested in them... then, learnt something about them you did not like.

It depends on what you want from them, and how you react, and what you do, though, in relation to what they turn out to be, and if you give up on someone or not.

If you learnt they murdered an entire preschool, that is understandable.

If you learn they are a prostitute, that is kind of sad to see. It means you are a shallow and judgemental person. No one is saying you have to still be interested in hooker, if you are romantically interested initially and find out they're a hooker... but a reaction like the initial post, going on a rant, declaring how unacceptable it is she is one, and how you will not engage the game again, man, that is weak.

It makes implications of what you think of people irl. If this is the reaction, then the OP likely feels that way about prostitutes irl. That's sad. Reeks of the kind of shallow mid 20thC moralizing that most of the world has moved beyond.

It suggests that if such a person were, irl, to be attracted to a woman, and initially romantically interested, and it was reciprocated, but they found out she was a prostitute, they'd not explain that sadly, this is something which is a red line for them, be understanding, acknowledge that they are person, a woman, who deserves love, but alas, not from you.... but would rather just short out, and become hysterical and abusive, probably get crazy on them with accusations they mislead you, lied to you, blah blah, and just be a terrible person.

The Dev should definitely NOT listen to the complaints of such a person.

Just my opinion, sorry if that upsets you.

I don't disagree that many comments go too far, my point was simply that not being involved with a hooker is not the same as abandoning them. If you like someone and then reject them because you find out they're a prostitute, that is perfectly valid and not the same as you being judgemental of them.

I think we're talking at cross purposes.

A) The MC initially first and foremost wants to be a Friend, not a Lover, to Chika.... but the OP's reaction demonstrates their view of what they want the MC to do... and because they cannot they will not play. That is NOT romantic... that is just interpersonal relationships... and if you meet someone you like, think good things of, and try to be a friend to and support for, and then you cease because they're a hooker... that's pretty petty, low in fact.

B) No one can say not wanting to continue with a romantic relationship with someone who IS, it turns out, a hooker... is wrong. We all have Red Lines.... BUT... even then, it comes down to HOW. You can be sympathetic, understanding, gentle, and kind, even if you have to be firm on the NO. Or you can be a C U Next Tuesday. The OP's reaction definitely makes me think they'd be the latter.

Either way, in either case, this is WAY UNCOOL, and the problem of the person, not their hooker once friend.
