Thank you for the high praise about the visuals and staging ahhhh... I feel like that's one of the major things that I'm trying to push with this one. And maybe it's because it's a culmination of everything I've learned with my past games or just because I feel guilty at the lack of choices so I want to up the visuals to make up for it... or something else entirely, but, somehow one of my major goals with this project became wanting to make it an incredibly cinematic experience as well as I could and try a lot of new things. I'm not quite sure yet how some of these visual decisions will carry over into the horror aspects once I begin working on those LOL but we will see. No matter what I feel like I'm also going to continue learning and experimenting a lot as I work on this project hahaha.
"how poetic the prose sounds juxtaposed next to the colorful dialogue" --> LOL I'M GLAD I sometimes worry about some of my weird word choices and style in the narration up against the insane ridiculousness of some my dialogue but at this point I can't change it it's just become a staple of my writing voice so 🤣
I'm so glad you enjoyed the characters!! They've worked there ways into my heart so much so I was really hoping people would end up liking them. MARSHALL IS TRULY A HIMBO IT'S TRUE. Hahaha RIGHT THOUGH THEY ACTUALLY ALL GET ALONG??? Well mostly hahaha. They have some points of contention but it's mostly rather lighthearted (for now). This type of dynamic has been a ton of fun for me to write though, especially thinking about them all on an individual level of what their dynamic would be like with every other member of crew and how that sometimes changes. I just really love writing group casts I guess. Though it makes it challenging to script out the scenes sometimes hahaha so much going on...
