I've tried to replicate this bug on a few different android devices, but I can't seem to get that issue.
For some reason, that file is not loading on your device.
It could be a hardware issue such as a lack of ram, but most likely the renpy version I updated to for v0.12, might have some underline issue with that specific device/similar devices.
Only thing I can suggest, is if you can, try updating to a somewhat more recent android version.
