I like the growing a lot, it's a totally different approach than what I took, and I got a lot of respect for that.

Visually speaking, I think it is a really good combination of colors adn shapes, the movin sun ray was a really nice touch. Althoug I must say (and this is just subjective I think) that I think the pixel art it is missing one "polish point" at the edges of the trees, like sometimes, the pixel looks a bit "inconsistent" with long straight lines, and then there is this:

that effecto of light in the edges is reeeeally good, I think you should apply it to the rest of the trees, and even, not just in the border, but in the middle, to recreate the bark of the trunks, I think with just a little touch you could have and much improved style. (again, just a sugggestion, please don't take it as if I am criticising your work, I think it's great)

The idea and core mechanics I think they are really good, this is the kind of city builder I actually like, a clear setup with some specific resources related to the "lore" itself ( in this case, "things a tree need to be alive") , but I didn't quite understand how it works I must say, I keep staying in  growth stage 2 and don't really know how to keep growing. most probably is me who is missing something. But

Also I tried reloading with esc key, but everytime the game was getting frozen.

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback! I agree that there are definietly a couple of things to do to make it look prettier! Some texture work on the main tree bark and more work on the background could go a long way. Making game for a jam always comes with limitations unfortunately, but that's something that we keep in mind.

We can also definietly work on the clarity of the game. I feel like we did not make it clear enough what to do. To grow further you need to satisfy tree's needs, which can be accomplished by putting the Tree buildings down such as water drains, leaves and worm attractors / beehives.

Once again, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! :)
