Woah! Aesthetics drives me crazy! It would be very nice to understand how it was made. Is the game made in Unity?

It's actually made in an opensource SDK called Solar2D (what used to be the unfortunately and untimely named CoronaSDK)  It's lua based and we use Tiled as a visual editor to build UI and levels and ZeroBrane as a code editor..

These are all open, lightweight and beginner friendly tools but powerful enough to build modern and well received mobile, desktop and (hopefully in the near future) console games.

Great! I have almost zero code experience and am looking for my space to accomplish something. For now I have used Unity Playmaker but am delighted to open up to other software!

There are a bunch of no-code solutions out there too. A game is a game, don't let anyone tell you *how* you have to make it--we all start somewhere.
