That’s actually an interesting idea. This game was partly inspired by the Amiga game Brat (1991) which is more in-line with what you said, a slower scrolling, more reaction-based and puzzle-like gameplay of guiding a character away from danger. Though it’s more of a point and click game so I decided to do that but in the vein of a runner game hence the faster scrolling and top down view. But now i’m actually curious if maybe this game works better if i followed that slower pace and would like to test it out, so thanks for the idea!
