I’m thinking about creating another browser-based game experience for this year’s Scream Jam. My current idea leans toward an escape-room style setup, with a light horror backstory, some unsettling imagery, and possibly a few horror-themed puzzles. This genre is a bit outside my comfort zone, so I’d love to hear any early advice or suggestions.

Do you have art, sound, music, or maybe even a backstory filled with premonitions you’d like to share? I’d be very interested in talking about a possible collaboration.

If you’d like to get a feel for what I’ve code recently, please check out my latest submission and other uploads on my Itch page. You’ll find mostly HTML, CSS, and JavaScript browser games—built without big game engines, though I occasionally use libraries like Matter.jsThree.js, or external APIs.

I plan to use my Crumb Quest (engine?) as a starter, but with a good story and a few jump scares it might work as the driver behind an escape room game.

I am in, lets do it!
