Spoiler alert! Look away if you don’t want to get spoiled!
First off, I think the dev’s take on the plot is really good. Even before this update, the existing story already gave off vibes that this FVN wasn’t just gonna be a cheesy, wish-fulfillment romance where “everyone falls for me.” And this new update? It totally took the FVN to a whole new level. Also, I wanted to ask the dev—how far along is the plot right now? I’d guess at least 50% done?
But let’s put the logical stuff aside and talk feelings—this is so cruel to Finn. Like, don’t get me wrong, I know the reason those two dogs fell for him (and how fast it happened) is totally absurd. But when the truth came out? The plot was just full of jabs and disdain toward Finn. After finishing one route, whenever I reload to unlock almost any other scene, I can’t even focus on the text anymore. ‘Cause everything feels like a lie… except maybe when he was with the Bernese Mountain Dog family? (We still don’t know if those dogs were 100% sincere with Finn, but I think they probably were.) So with that, I’ve gotta make a sincere request—if Finn gets to choose the life he wants at the end, please, please add an option for him to go back to those dogs.
Honestly, at this point, I can barely see a happy ending (HE) between Finn and these two dogs—the black one and the red one. I low-key hope those two end up together, and I’m also curious to see what kind of story the dev will tell to wrap up the plot all the way to the game’s end.
