Given it's listed as "Released", I take it no further updates or revisions are planned, and instead we'll just get more "complete" versions of the concept later, perhaps?
Secondary question would be if this is just an endless demo, or if there's an actual way to "beat" the game.
I will first off say I'm a big fan of platform shooters like Rolling Thunder, so the idea behind this is really cool to see!
Obviously reloading, shooting, and enemy walk animations would be something to look into doing in the future. Though I was glad to see that cover had a transitional animation.
It's not exactly telegraphed, but I assume the Doberman is the weakest mook HP wise, while the Protogen is the highest. I also couldn't really tell if headshots were a thing, though from my 10 minute run I'd say that's a yes?
I do wish there was some kind of crosshair that gave some feedback on "when" you can shoot again without an accuracy debuff.
Definitely a lack of feedback on whether you/enemies have been hit or not. Though, being your first published game and all, that's very forgivable.
Story wise how it plays out that Cameron returning from selling the watch and Mila getting ambushed (apparently at home?), you think it'd be the other way around: Mila going to sell the watch and getting ambushed on the way back home.
So overall, an interesting first project/prototype. I don't think I'm your intended fanbase because I'm human-centric and I'm only into human-anthro stuff/settings, and I don't assume you are (but hey, I've been plenty wrong before). Still it's cool to see this kind of potential platform cover shooter on itch, so cheers!
