Itch.io priorities are just beyond understanding.

- Protecting users from scam, fraud and malware - n-o-o-o-o, it's "too difficult" to do. Platform is "safe enough", developers should moderate comments themselves.

- Ban porn to lick corpo's booties - YE-A-A-A-A-H! That sounds like a good plan!

No, seriously, we have somehow survived "pornpocalipsise", but fishing links existed before and continue to exist on platform, lots of developers were concerned about it.

lmao yeah.

as much as I do not like the Itchio porn problems, I understand their situation.  Having both visa and mastercard hold a monopoly in US money transfer systems and being able to just take away services from you is basically holding a gun to 80% of Itchio's wallet.  Unfortunately this is a systemic issue and Itchio just doesn't want to lose all of it's income which WOULD just shut down the site itself and put a lot of people out of work.

I say this because of what they did and how they did it, they held a temporary mass blinding, which meant the game might not be browsable but still searchable, and then they had to sort things out bit by bit themselves and allowed a lot of content back by not blinding them.  Direct links still worked for most people.  It was the strangest and trickiest middle ground that they had to navigate on a very short time period.  Caught between a rock and a horny place, they somehow squeezed through with scrapes and bruises.

Would be helpful if they at least informed exactly what was violating these new rules on RRR old, and Celsius pages.

Every email i sent was meant by an automatic message of those violating the rules and nothing more, even after deleting the files themselves

Yeah that's pretty fricked, I hope their support staff are able to actually help people out instead of go the youtube route of handling things.
