Did you already add one with the drill? In case you did not I need to double check the logic for expedition items.
Yes I did, the Item had only one Slot and is supposed to be able to have 3.Is it only possible to add one Slot each for each Item?
Yes. This was changed in the latest patch to make "natural" sockets more valuable. We are monitoring the situation and *may* buff the DPS & click damage gems
