you'll naturally have enemies, the nobles (most of them, anyway) don't take to the Crown at first. Just make sure you keep your relationship levels high with your LI (or don't, lol). i wouldn't worry too much about it tbh
as for the D thing, I'm not actually too sure. I'm pretty certain there's a few options to defend D from the Imperial Court, so do that if ya can. Just let the story progress, homeboy :]
