Found out about this game months ago and have been meaning to try it! Thanks to Cute Games Club’s youtube video, I remembered to do it! Downloaded yesterday and played it this morning and I love it! This game has the potential to be something absolutely amazing and desperately needed tbh. Only a prototype, but it already has my seal of approval as a seamstress myself!

I do have a few things in mind for improvements after playing the game for a solid 3 hours XD

-When working with the pattern pieces for multi paneled skirts, the left and right panels for the front and back of the skirt are labeled the same, so it’s very confusing when cutting out the pattern pieces, especially if you’re trying to color block, leading me to cut skirt pieces out of the wrong fabric several times. As someone who’s had several years of experience drafting my own patterns, I recommend labeling them like this

-Skirt Front Right

-Skirt Front Left

-Skirt Front Center

-Skirt Back Left

-Skirt Back Right

-Skirt Back Center

I’ve noticed this issue happening with the side panels on multi paneled bodices as well.

-Love the improvement of the sewing mechanic by adding the red dot on top of the marching ants line and making the feed dog of the machine open faced so you can actually see what you’re doing and where your going! However, I would recommend making the red dot a little bigger so it’s easier to see. My eyesight isn’t that bad, but I do have to strain my eyes a little in order to focus on it.I’ve also found that the red dot blends in a little too much with the Rubia Silk, so either making it a bit brighter, or a different color depending on your fabric choice (if that’s possible) would help a ton!

-Another small improvement I’d like to see is graphics wise is a more notable difference in texture between certain fabric types. Like a more noticeable sheen to the roll/bolt of fabric for the silks. Because as it stands now, texture wise, there is no difference between the silks and the cottons or linens.

-Another graphics issue I found is with the Requirements text box when purchasing fabrics and accessories. It may need to be resized or rearranged because it obscures a large chunk of the top half of the cabinet inventory, so I can’t tell part of what I already have in my inventory.

-The addition of lace is a great idea, but it definitely has a kink or two to work out. When I tried adding it to my dress, I accidentally added it to an area I didn’t mean to and I couldn’t remove it the same way you do other accessories, so I had to keep messing around until I figured out that you have to right click a pin, then left click to remove it, or stop using the lace. A mini tutorial on how to add and remove lace would be very helpful.

There’s also an issue where when I tried adding lace around the edge of a sleeve, when trying to pin the lace to the underside, the lace would instead be pinned to the side of the bodice and no matter which way I tried, I couldn’t get it to go all the way around it.

- Having the ability to zoom in on the dress form would also be great so the player can be more precise when placing accessories, and it would make adding lace to the shoulder sections a lot easier.

-I would also suggest adding the ability to shrink and enlarge accessories when you add them to your sketchbook so the player can actually see what they may look like on the dress.

These other things aren’t issues I found, but more suggestions for things that could be added to the game.

- As your shop grows and you get more money coming in, upgrades or the ability to change the interior design of your shop would be super cool! Maybe even an option to add a display window where you can display and even sell dresses you want to make that weren’t for a client.

-It would also be great if the accessories you add to a garment effected it’s core. Like getting more points towards being cute when adding white lace to a pink dress or elegance for black lace.

-Also for accessory options, being able to add applique and bead work to the garment!

-A sewing mechanic where you can actually sew the buttons, applique, lace and/or bead work onto the garment and if the player changes their mind, they can use a seam ripper to remove it!

-When the dress is complete, before you finish it, a part where you sew a fabric label with the name of they player’s shop or the players name into the back of the garment would be darling!

-Ok last suggestion I swear: I’m echoing Cute Games Club’s sentiment and also advocating for being able to dress up the cat.

Thank you for making this game even if it is just a prototype for now! It’s so adorable and already so in depth in showing the specifics of this craft and dedication in encorperating them into the game play! I can’t wait to see how this game grows and improves over time! Also I heard the news; CONGRADULATIONS on getting greenlit! Entirely deserved and I am so hyped to see this get turned into a full fledged game!

Keep up the amazing work! We're all rooting for you! <3

Thank you for all of your suggestions! omg, the label is such a good idea!!!
