I was not sure whom you are replying too NiiChan, the end of your reply initially seemed aimed at the OP, but the end paragraph suggested it was also aimed at me. So I will say this. I did not HATE Sicae... I was, somewhat taken aback by the difference between the comments, and the actual game, for sure... commentors, were waxing about the game in a way which made it seem like unique, revelatory, experience, and some even mentioned how serious and realistic it was... when in fact, it seems they are just players who had never played 90s video games, seen 80s action movies, or 70s and 80s HK ActionCop-Kung-Fu gangster movies.
I personally did not DISLIKE Sicae... (though tbh, I like my AVNs WAY heavier on the A bit, and there seemed to be WAY too little in game as long as Sicae is even without being finished, for my liking... ) but more that Sicae was exemplary of how big cool ideas, that collide in an overarching narrative, can at times, be wildly absurdly crazy, sometimes in a fun way no doubt, and come off, and this is not a criticism, as almost kitsch and edgy. This happens because it almost always HAS to, to sew the threads of those cool ideas together.
It is the same way some AVNs with heavy hardcore s*x that skirts incest boundaries and crosses in to problematic power dynamics, have absurd, long bow drawn, tenuous justifications, contortions or truths, facts and science, and ethical evacuating bleed valve dialogue to justify why the MC is sleeping with their doctor and lawyer... and teacher.... and student... and aunt... and mom... and sisters.... and cousin.. and the local cop.... and their girlfriend... and her aunt... grammy...sisters... mother...doctor...dentist...lawyer.
You HAVE to find narrative assertions, to MAKE that work. In those kinds of games, there is no game if A: the MCs 'Roomates' (pretty relatives)... freak out and shut down his advances, his doctor calls the police on him for sexual harassment, and that hot cop arrests and charges him, sans ANY sexy time....before the MC being put in a Fade To Black scene of being beaten by a cellmate in prison for his sex crimes.. B The MC Develops a sudden moral conscience, collapse in to devastating regret induced clinical depression, is enveloped in self harming tendencies, and winds up in an institution. Yet, if one sought to be realistic about it, BOTH of those things would be more likely than out MC having a reverse gangbang with his twin sisters, his mom, his girlfriend, her mom, her grandma, his doctor, his teacher, the headmaster, and hot youngest ever captain of the local Police.... but, that happens... because of the cray cray, absurd, convoluted, tenuous, narrative allowances which are hilarious AF, but messed up beyond measure. THAT is HOW you have a game, when it is that kind of thing.
The interesting ideas in Sicae, likewise, are not codependent; Ancient Roman cult, Assassins, Organized Crime, a secret Shadow Government organization trying to take over, illegal human experimentation, psy-warfare programmes, all things which in and of themselves CAN be themselves, ALONE, a theme for a story... but sewing them together, in a manner which works for an AVN, is definitely going to lend itself to things getting pretty hectic, unrealistic, tenuously justified, and batty as, to make them work together.
I was just using this, as an example, for the OP, to try to suggest that perhaps the Dev, you, did NOT deliberately set out to victim blame, exalt coercive manipulation, or imply anything else that they found problematic, rather just as natural extension of trying to create the narrative where two incompatible people....as one assumes they'd be..given this games title.. are drawn in to an intimate sexual dynamic. Add to that, a shift in the cultural paradigm and translation inadequacies, this game might actually be what the OP claims, wholly by accident.
