Am I your CPU?

Outside of that, it would have been nicer to have a little more in terms of mechanics in here. As it is, it's playable but the idea itself is pretty simple and the game isn't long but good use of environmental storytelling. Did you have any plans that you scrapped due to time limitations?

Yeah, I really wanted to add more interactive enemies, cutscenes, and dynamic environments such as moving platforms, hidden walls, etc. The thing that stopped me from all that was mostly me learning how to use the GameMaker engine and being limited on time.

I am just glad that I got a game out at the very least, which was my original goal for this jam. Thanks for taking the time to play my game, even if it did not have much to offer. I'm still learning and enjoying the engine so far, and hopefully  I will make more games that are complex and fun for you and others to enjoy!

I can relate heavily with the problems you faced. I'm glad you got the game out at the end, I had the same goal and we can only go up from here. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next as you get more familiar with the engine. Good luck!
