So, I recently picked up Pitcrawler. I like the concept a lot! Just a gm and 1 player. Makes it easier to play solo if I want.

Unfortunately, I find it lacking. Even though the idea presented it that a player does pitcrawling there is no procedure to do so, and that not just the name that's the concept of the game too. I looked thourgh the book, and found no advice about the Pit, as this book calls dungoens.

It says in the back it as alot of tables but lacks any tables for making senerios, dungeons/pits, settlements, wilderness, npcs (kinda assume your memt to us some if not all the pc tables). It also lack of procedures for pitcrawling, exploring the wilderness, & interacting with npcs. The last one could be handled with like a Heart check or something.

I feel I have to use procedures form other games, make and or get other materials to play this one. It feels incomplete. I really do like this game though.

I feel I may just want to play a different game. I don't know. This is the same issue I had with Tricube Tail. The lack of all the above and a list of even monsters.

  • Does any one here have experience running and/or playing this game?
  • Any advice?
