this game was really enjoyable, and i’d definitely recommend it. haruto does tend to ramble a bit, but aside from that, i really liked the overall concept. it focuses on an ordinary person like haruto, contrasted with akira, who has skyrocketed in fame. what stood out to me most was how the vn shows that despite all his success, akira is still the same awkward boy deep down. he seems more confident now, but he’s still the akira that haruto knew. i also liked how it balances all the lighthearted moments with a realistic portrayal of jealousy and regret, especially through haruto’s feelings about not pursuing his own dreams. it captures those emotions really well. the touches of nostalgia, and the lingering feelings between the two were also really strong, they were both yearning so much!!1!!! overall, i really enjoyed this visual novel, especially as a short 1–2 hour read, and haruto even reminded me of one of my own friends i rlly like. besides my review, i honestly hope to see more people talk about this game. i made an account just for this comment, lmao. thank you! i like making 1st person narrators ramble and go on tangents cause i think it's fun haha but i p could've toned it down a bit more... i'm trying to be more succinct when i write hopefully i can get there eventually...
i love writing Yearning it's a lot of fun... the boys have so many emotions and i love that for them haha
i'm glad you enjoyed it! also i'm glad haruto feels realistic, i always get a bit worried writing 1st person male narrators b/c it's not my forte so it's nice to know it worked out!
I came here to say exactly this! i personally feel like the long monologues interfere with the other character's dialogue and flow of action a bit sometimes :3
Haruto saying this about Akira after ignoring him for like 50 lines of thoughts feels way too ironic... hahah
That tiny thing aside, this was super fun, i love the characters, the UI and soundtrack are lovely and feel very cohesive, and i'm looking forward to the full game!
