The mc is kinda both I'd say, on one hand you can imagine yourself in his shoes, mc often "talks to himself" as if you were talking to yourself, but on the other hand, we know that mc has green hair and canonically his name is Nita.

Nevertheless you can think of him as yourself if that makes the game more exciting to play.
