Some of them probably would, I think Ho-Oh and Lugia would partner up since they knew each-other quite well before the MC arrived.
The Birds and Beasts likely would, the Latis do all the time, the Lake Trio probably would... mostly Mesprit though.
So yeah, I think the girls entertain eachother when the MC is busy
