if your a fox, why not add mouse, rat, bunny and other background NPCs that the player can eat?
maybe some will want to be eaten, and they turn to you on finding you, hoping you'll eat them.
iirc only females are capable of being predators, and the main character is male. I don't know if the option of being female will ever be available or not.
then the player can be the only male predator, but still can be pray.
