I didn’t have any candles at hand, so I decided to use timers. I wasn’t exactly sure if I should start the timer before the game prep was done, so I waited until I turned the first card. It took me almost 25 min before I could turn on the other timer, so I decided to run the Necromancer’s timer again to keep playing a bit longer. I kinda wish the timer for the loved one would’ve triggered earlier, but that’s up to the cards. Bad luck for me!

It was a bit hard to get into the game at first since the first two cards I got I lost my teeth and developed bruising in my body, which I kind of expected to happen a bit later on in the game. Later, there was more subtle changes to my character’s constitution and mental state, which would’ve been nice to get in the beginning. The end of the game was bitter; I betrayed my lover’s trust to try to save them, but failed and died. I liked the ending I got!

I wish there was a way to divide the symptoms/events in a way that you get some of them in the first half of the game, and  more dire stuff at the latter half of the game. I just don’t know how it could be done with the cards being random.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the game and it’s bleak atmosphere. I need to play more!
