I am especially glad you like the transition, since that is the thing I worried about the most. I've never been good about transitions, but I want to keep trying it :)
I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have during the rating period and I really want to listen to everyone's work, so I'm getting a head start! It's fun to hear how a bunch of different people think mushrooms sound. I didn't pick that theme because I had no idea how they sound myself. The association that mushrooms are natural fungus that grow in the woods -> woodwinds, wood blocks, wood xylophone, totally makes sense.
That's a very respectful idea, to start listening before the rating period if you have little time. I really appreciate the effort! And indeed, the way you explain it is perfect: instruments made of wood, or instruments mimicking sounds found in woods like flutes mimicking wind/birds, work very well here. Great to hear you learned something :D
