This was such a cozy little hangout. I loved how it really felt like being at a book club where finishing the book wasn’t the point at all (as well as other clubs and projects that seem more like excuses to hang out with friends) — just eating, chatting, and vibing.

The tileset was perfect for the mood, and I really liked how the text played out (plus, being able to control the speed at which the text was being shown was way better for me than the last minigame.

Couple of tiny things: sometimes the text breaks threw me off, and I think I’d prefer a slightly bigger text box since the game leans so much on reading. The ending also caught me off guard — it kind of drops the title and kicks you back in instead of letting me sit with the moment. I was kinda wishing for one last beat, like a little pixel-art group photo of the four of you and the cat to close it out. Totally not necessary, just an idea.

But honestly, I had a great time with this. Funny, sweet, cozy.
Great work!

thank you so much for your detailed comment! I'm really happy to hear that the tileset, map and artwork came together in a soothing, relaxing way; that's exactly what I wanted to achieve! so it seems it ties well with the dialogue.

I hear you with the text box size; I actually got another comment on that yesterday, so that's something to work on.

the final picture is indeed a good idea! I wanted the final sentence ("we just wouldn't") to pack a punch before the game wraps up, but that could be put after the photograph.

thanks again for playing!
