So I have played your game. And I'm gonna be honest, it irritated me a lot, so you will definitely hear my frustrations throughout the video and a genuinely apologize in advance for that. This is also my second run through of it since I had some recording issues with my first attempt alongside the frustrations that I have with the game.

Regardless I'll start with the positives, because I definitely see something of great potential with what I have seen:

The mechanics are very unique, I like the idea of exerting some energy to produce light to guide me through the darkness.

I like the idea of the story, though not unique in terms the father-son bonding, but the execution of of how you portray the dynamic is what makes this story very compelling. I like the idea of you going through your son's mind to challenge the hatred of your son and your evil side to make amends with the past and allow your son to forgive you. Its very metaphoric.

And though I have problems with it (which I'll be explaining), there are a lot of interesting ways you have portrayed the son, a damaged soul that grows more angry and hateful as the story progresses, leading to a more challenging obstacle overtime. And having him as a sneaky arachnid-humanoid that can climb walls and strike at you when you least expect it is an interesting idea in theory. But that's where I grow to have problems.

The Cons:

The obstacles work well, but too well. This may be a skill issue on my part, but the dark labyrinth alongside the son makes it HIGHLY difficult for me to traverse effectively, I'm aware that's intentional, but it adds up to my last point.

The son is way too annoying to deal with, far too unpredictable, and there's very little warning to do anything when he's near, ready to strike. As you'll see, I can't get passed the second segment where the son gets blinded and he can only sense you by emitting your light. And considering that he also jumps around respawns in different locations, the frustration builds.

These two concerns lead to my last issue, and that's repetition. When I have to restart an entire segment of a game multiple times, again and again and again, with the previous issues I have stated in this case, the emersion withers away more and more. I grow to not care about the story, or the message you're trying to get me hooked with because my experience gets clouded by irritation with dying a thousand times. Some people are into that, I'm very much not.

I do wish to state that I don't want you to feel discouraged about my opinion on your game, because as I stated, there's a lot of promise with it, I just think some things need to be nerfed a bit to keep the emersion steady. Not saying it can't be difficult, but there just needs a balance between the story you're trying to keep me hooked to, and the challenge of the obstacles, because at least to my perspective, the obstacles eclipse the story.
