Lighthouse: I haven’t read the description at the time that I’m writing this. I immediately imagine the scene in the theme image where the sun dips below the horizon and the lanterns turn on with the electric buzz. The girl in the image starts facing the water, but with the accelerating piano rolls, she turns and heads up to the old lighthouse from which the theme “picture” was taken. The complex emotions that ensure represent what the girl is feeling as she slowly climbs the long spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse. The percussionless portion at the end is her at the top of the lighthouse overlooking the sea. But then something happens and the electricity maybe fails or something but the light turns off for some reason.

Streetlamp Sabotage: This track seems to accompany the scattered flurry of people trying to identify the issue leading to the main conflict. Wow the high energy drum portion certainly adds an extra layer of urgency to things. Maybe at this point, a large electrical burst/explosion/bolt occurs throwing everything into even more chaos.

Alternating Current: The fact that this one starts with the similar accelerando and similar chords makes me think this theme represents the main character and her own emotional story as the harbor city needs to be rescued. I imagine that maybe she had to dive under the water of the ocean to escape the electrical chaos and fires that are taking place on land currently.

Light Up: While underwater, maybe she finds a tunnel leading to the underground generator and this is the track where she figures out what caused everything to go wrong. It feels somber and somewhat unsteady like she has been weakened. The change in momentum halfway through shows that she still has determination enough to continue forward! Then the click ambience is her figuring out the issue so that things can return to normal and the lights of the city can revitalize the night of the city.

Morning: A soft reflective track that finds the main character back on the dock overlooking the water in the morning. The lanterns are once again on, but the bittersweet nature of this track makes it seem like much was lost in the conflict and though things have returned to the way they were, her life will be forever changed because of it.

Overall: I had a lot of fun imagining the story based solely off of your musical journey - thank you for the invitation to try this. This is a beautiful ambient electronic soundtrack that conveys many emotions through instrument layers, rhythms, and tempo changes. Now that I’ve read the description, I think you nailed the idea that the main character’s theme is carried through each track to show that she feels a responsibility to helping the town restore light. I think that your chase sequence sounded like a higher stress environment to me which is why I imagined explosions, but you were very accurately able to convey tension and release throughout. This was a very nice entry - great work and thank you for sharing!
