I never got anywhere. There was a hallway, but it was too dark so I just quit the game. I found all the light switches, but none in the hallway so I just gave up and went to bed.
I am sorry to hear it. I know how frustrating that can be. I did not know it was that dark. Seen a fair few playthroughs, where they seem to be able to see.
