Your statement above under: PROHIBITED ACTIONS : You may not, under any circumstances:"Use this mod in any monetized or commercial capacity."- Does this include the many content creators that feature the map on their monetized YouTube channels in lets plays, roleplays and map tours etc? If the statement excludes content creators, is modifying the map in Giants Editor, for personal use and for the purpose of creators content on their YouTube channels a prohibited action also? I think this needs clarification as content creators do not want DMCA takedown requests submitted to hosting providers and platforms as also mentioned. I emailed you some time ago on this subject and have not yet received a reply. Thanks again for the map.
Hi John, i have no intention of chasing content creators in regards to takedown requests submitted to hosting providers.. with the amount of content creators using Saxlingham via social media platforms that include heavily edited maps i don't see any issues thus far. i think a little common sense is required here..
edited version of the map that gets passed around social media and ends up on hosting sites is not acceptable, that's pretty much the brunt of it.
Thanks for clarifying, that makes perfect sense. I completely understand the frustration with edited versions being passed around, and I agree that protecting your original work is important. I created a map myself for FS22 on the Mod Hub. I just wanted to be sure that content creators showcasing the map or their edits in videos are ok doing so. I appreciate the map and all the hard work you’ve put into it. Thanks again.
