- Graphics : Are generally floating between 'fine' mimicking oldschool graphics albeit with some more modern things (Fog layer) , to excellent (The Protag's Menu Face , The Tarot Cards).
- Music / Sfx :
- Main menu music is a bit shrill , most other music I rather enjoyed though, much of it is floating around an 'oldschool' feel without the jagged edges.
- GUI : Generally pretty good, I don't think much should be changed here.
- Gameplay :
- Menus seem to be slightly glitchy or mushy, some menus felt like they weren't recognizing input.
- Movement : Needs to be tweaked I think , either buffing stamina/run speed , or making default move speed faster (Specific areas could have a movespeed increase)
- Notes :
- I had lost power maybe about 30% or so through the first playthrough , I liked the game well enough to have given it a second try, that's why there's two 'parts' as it's a spliced together video.
- I like that it's somewhat like Faith, but with it's own identity (and plays better)
- Probably should add some graphical options , res , window type etc.
- I was expecting more 'cosmic horror' per the description but it was more of a standard supernatural affair.
- Is the 'cosmic horror' stuff doubled down in the full game?
- The only thing that felt vaguely 'cosmic horror' was the magenta dimension.
- Are we the baddies Hans?
- Honestly not too many games where you play an even vaguely evil or 'bad' character , I kind of hope the game doesn't knee-jerk into our axe wielding maniac into being a good guy actually.
- There seems to be a bug , exiting the game doesn't actually terminate the process, it hangs.
Overall I generally enjoyed this game, but I will say that my biggest issue with the game that actively hindered me enjoying it was the movement speed, there's far too much walking from A to B I feel.
