I’m looking for a game developer to collaborate with me on a video game project. The concept is a mix of a trivia game and adventure, with a unique host character who guides (and teases) the player.

  • Concept

Imagine Hades progression + Balatro’s buildcraft + Jackbox roasting you: a deadly trivia roguelike dressed up as a twisted game show. Basically think  Balatro but its trivia instead of playing poker.

  • What you have already

at the time i type this i have the name of the game, i have the main background , the host assets, docs of 300+ questions, over 200 taunts from the host, bg music as well as the overall vibe of the game.

  • What you need help with
Honestly its the create of the game, ive tried using Unity and Gadt but sadly I just am to not able to understand small details to get it working, i Kinda only have been using stuff like Tyranobuilder , Renpy and some rpgmaker (VX ace edition),

  • What you’re offering:

  • A script, writing, and design documents nearly ready to plug in.

  • Creative collaboration (I’m open to your ideas).

  • Credit, portfolio exposure, and potential revenue share (details can be discussed as well as payment for help also to be discussed).

    Who I’m Looking For

    • Indie devs who like quirky, experimental projects,  also a off beat sense of humor is a plus.
    • Comfortable working on a small but ambitious game on a budget.
    • Open to communication and collaboration.

    Thank You for your time.

  • Hey there! Your project sounds super fun, I really like the roguelike + game show vibes. I've been working with Unity for a little over a year and from what you described, it sounds like there's a solid foundation in place already, and I'd love to help bring it all together in a fun and unique game. Revenue share is fine to discuss later, but it doesn't really matter to me now, I'm more interested in making something new and enjoyable. Feel free to reach out to me on Discord: @akutsodau

This sounds neat and I'd be interested in discussing this further. I'm a software engineer by day, and have been doing hobby game dev for 10+ years. I have a few projects that have gone quite far (including one that is still ongoing, though slowly) that I could show. What's be best way to get in touch?
