I agree that more metrics would be helpful granted they don't overwhelm the player, and the game definitely needs more work with its onboarding. Good points there.
Also you hit the nail on the head, I grew up playing Warcraft 3 TDs so that and some of the Starcraft custom map TDs definitely inspired the design. Glad that someone picked up on it xD
