I dig and connect with the story heavily. The musical idea you presented supports it well. Liminal space is an interesting direction to go with the theme. I usually connect them with horror or uneasiness, but here it feels as if it's a necessary evil to help the character overcome their struggles if that makes sense.
My critiques would be that the synth at 1:28 in "Desolate Deliverance" was piercing and briefly took me out of the established tone. The drum part in "Transcendence From Chains" could also benefit from pads or chords to make it fuller, but that's a hunch and might make things muddy.
