Very good looking visuals and animations, nice soundtrack.

Few comments, mostly already mentioned by others:

  • The shop attracts the player and takes the time from the actual gameplay. Making it to the shop roof is not a trivial idea and task, so some player can end the game right here Seems better not to add the shop at all if it’s not functional.

  • It’s usually a very bad idea to place the platforms in an areas that are invisible to the player. Memorizing it’s placement, running all the way to the jump place through the level is time consuming and generally not fun thing to spend time on. If it’s an intentional design at least put a respawn point right next the place from where the player has to jump to this platform.

  • Right at the beginning I’m getting a sword, and then I’m running through several levels, with actually good art, without using it. It’s a bit of a waste of the art I guess, placing some enemies on the starting levels would most probably make the game more fun and those levels will feel less empty.

  • And the last comment, that I’m leaving almost to every game on this jam that I’ve played - please, configure the mouse cursor change to pointer on hover. It should take less then a minute of time but the UI instantly feels more responsive. Adding custom cursor for the default state and for the hover state grants you double points:)

Hey, yes

We thought of adding a shop and collectables

About those platforms the parallaxing art is tiling there so I placed a limit on the camera because I added parallax after making the level

And yes we also thought of adding enemies

But this is me and my other two friend's first ever game all these things are probably not very hard to implement but since we lack experience we had no direction and it seems we overestimated ourselves XD.

And thank you very much for the comment really appreciate it

Wish you guys good luck and amazing releases in the future! What you’ve done is already a solid ground to grow!
