If you download my game, the Unity file is called “Risk It for the Biscuit”, which was actually the theme for Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2.

I originally started building a project for that jam, but halfway through, I got cold feet. I kept overthinking, doubting whether I was good enough, and eventually dropped out. Then I came across this Jam, and then  just decided to make something, anything new. I guess the name of the jam put less pressure on me.

I genuinely thought I was the only one going through something like this. Thanks for making a game that says otherwise, really, really love it.

I would definitely love to make a game with you someday :)

yeah i definitely get it, the bigger jams give you better exposure but they're a lot sometimes. im glad you were able to make a game eventually though, and that sounds like fun!! we be doing our best :>

Doing a jam is always full of challenge and doubt.

My first one was the GDTV jam 2024 with over 1000 submissions.  I honestly thought my game would never get looked at, or get any feedback.

What I found though is that people will still look at it, rate it and give feedback.  Even if it is simple or unpolished.

The communities in the jams are always what brings me back.  A few of my followers on itch are people I communicated with in the jams I've been in and I've encountered a few of them in other jams as well.

There will always be doubt, but the majority of people in the jams are in a similar position.  Trying them out for the first time or using them to learn new systems, mechanics and ideas.

We all want to win and make the best game, but even if you don't make what you want, you won't be left behind.  There are always some people that will play, rate and give feedback.  I like to think I'm one of those people and I always try to give feedback that can be useful.
