Hoo boy, this VN made my stomach churn. I keep thinking about the quip a part of me made during the scene where we first meet adult Lynnie: "Boy am I glad that she's in there and that we're out here!" That is to say, the writing hit very, very close to home~
God, that whole sequence of Mel slowly, agonizingly making her way back to her and Lynnie's apartment, her dread and anxiety mounting higher and higher with each second that passes and each step towards her front door... Simply brilliant. Having had moments exactly like that in the past, I can safely say you've captured the experience PERFECTLY here—and the same is true just as much for the shitshow that unfolds after Mel goes inside as much as everything beforehand, heheheheh~
For that matter, everything with the Gumitochi is excellently executed, being both in perfect harmony with the story's themes and absolutely awful to watch unfold~ In particular, not only is the writing great, but the art! That One CG of Lynnie hit me like a fucking jumpscare; I physically recoiled a bit at the sight of it, and I looooove that it was that intense and powerful~
Fantastic work, seriously!
