I will have to upgrade to a new engine version, so I will likely update the desktop versions too.

What kind of hardware do you have? And can you send me the contents of game log from /home/<user>/.local/share/polychoron/logs/godot.log?

Ii don't have any logs as I recently wiped most of my data for space sadly, as for the hardware, .. I  don't remember I think the processor is a   a Intel Celeron N3350.. ? it's integrated graphics so it does  kinda suck (hence linux) so maybe it's just a problem on my end

That integrated GPU is HD Graphics 500 which is unfortunately not going to run the game very well out of the box.  You can lower the in-game graphics settings if you haven't already done that.

One another thing that might help is running the game with following command line argument:

--video-driver GLES2

It will look worse but should run a bit better on low-end hardware.

okay thanks, I Did lower the graphics setting, I don care much about looks but now I can actually play the game (if it works)

will update you later if it works or not, Thank you regardless.
