Why can't I pay with an actual card? I HAVE to use pay pal?
Why not use patreon? I don't have PayPal but I do have a card. Plus it just makes sense considering itch.io and it's issues. Plus having monthly subscribers would help you out money wise and they even added a patreon shop for people who simply just want to buy your products keeping in mind you also use itch you can use both platforms and spread your name around more.
Patreon is even more anal about the rules that Itch is being forced to follow. The true culprits are Visa and MasterCard, who force their own sets of rules on anyone who does business with them, including payment processors like PayPal. Patreon has been banning people who break those rules for years now, and Itch was recently targeted specifically because they haven't been enforcing those rules as hard as Visa and MasterCard want them to.
Holy shit, no. Not only are they still doing it, but Trump is NOT on your side in this. It was his allies who brought all this down on Itch and Steam. Even just earlier today, he bragged about a member of his cabinet being an author of Project 2025, which (among other things) includes a plan to ban all porn in the United States. And Collective Shout (the group who mass-reported Itch and Steam to the credit card companies) is backed by the group that created that project.
Whoever told you Trump fixed anything is a liar. He's taken absolutely no action on the situation, and probably hasn't even heard about it.
well im not a political person but trump was the one who prevented card companies from controlling what others are allowed to buy since he publicly went against it and publicly said it. I just assumed that everything else would have went away after that. Also hes never going to ban porn online. The backlash would be too massive. He may want to but no. It wont happen.
