This is super amazing! Games with a story always have more depth and life in them than abstract ones. I really appreciate how you blended storytelling and risk-taking. For a jam game, all the ingredients are in perfect balance, to my taste. For a larger project, you would probably like to have some hints in each encounter on what paths it is leading to, so you can add some strategy to your decision-making.
