Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 8! My name's Hythrain, a co-host and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

While I understood the concept of the mechanics (the whole dominant and recessive genes), what I didn't get was what each symbol meant. I also quickly understood how you were meant to score points, yet at the same time I also didn't? Like, I knew making combos would get me scored and understood some of the combos, but I didn't understand how much it would give per score and how score was totaled.

I also didn't understand how to do mutations. Maybe it's because you only get to pick from four random sheep you have for breeding instead of selecting from them all, but I never once saw any indication of any wild colours besides pink.

With that said, I have suggestions for how this game could be improved. First, allow the player to choose from all of their sheep when breeding. In addition, when listing  the colour combos that can come out of a breed, give percentages for the likelihood of that colour popping out. That way, players have a better idea of what they're going to get. I'm also going to suggest allowing the player to do multiple breeds, and instead have a system where once a sheep has been used in breeding it can't do so again for a certain number of shows.

Next, instead of going into the show with all of your sheep, have the player pick the sheep they want to take. Keep things to a maximum of 10 sheep. That way, if they have a lot of different sheep then they have to pick what they want to bring.

Next, make it that the hazards are random but that the player knows what the next hazard will be before they pick their sheep for the show. This allows them to pick their sheep based around the hazard yet also encourages them to keep a variety of sheep.

After this, make ribbons bound to the sheep you first put them on instead of them resetting each show. This makes it important for the player to carefully choose who they give a ribbon to.

Lastly, get more variety of sheep colours and combos. Right now, certain combos and options are very limited.

All of this should give a great deal of variety and expansion on the gameplay, and make the player feel like they are more in control than simply being trapped by lots of RNG.

Hi, thanks for playing my game! Yes, I would love a link to the VOD. Live reactions and feedback are extremely helpful, and I'm curious to see what your chat thought as well!
