I was just able to load my save from the previous versions just fine. did you move your save by mistake?

you should be able to play the game by loading up saves from previous version, regardless if it's on PC or Android, the only concern would be during the update process on Android, as if you delete the old apk and install new one - your save data is gone, instead simply unzip the new version and try to install it while the old one is still there - the prompt should ask you to "update" the game.
