The slot machine feels a bit out of place considering the setting of the rest of the game.But I get it's there for theme reasons.

Still did manage to lose almost all my xp to it in the end xd.

Gameplay itself is quite simple but managing the cards you get & countering gives it some strategic depth. 

Some stuff I'd change : 

- I'd switch the audio the world map to something a bit more "safari-esq" now it feels a bit "elevator / corporate meeting" if you know what I mean.

- Minor QoL would be if you allowed us to switch out cards by draging ontop of them, now If I change my mind I need to remove the old & put the new one in.

- Put some debounce on the end of a fight, If I press enter a lot of the time I immediately go back into a battle because enter was still held.

I'd still say it's qutie good for a solo project in a week long jam, keep going!

Yeah my original idea for the theme was the risk was the fight, and if you lose the fight then you don’t get the dinosaur. But that didn’t feel like it fit theme enough and I already had quite a lot of it done and didn’t have to come up with a new idea.

And yes the things that you mentioned I had thought about but couldn’t find good music or couldn’t get it working. Thank you for playing though and thanks for the feedback!
