Clover is so normal. She's the most normal. In fact, I daresay you'd be hard pressed to find a girl who comes even remotely close to being as normal as Clover is~
I very much enjoyed the visual style of this VN! The detailed, expressive portraits all stood out quite nicely against the understated backdrops, and harmonized nicely with the text to establish the characters' feelings and personalities~ Also, kudos to you for not only including a male character with actual portraits (a very rare sight in these VNs, as you might imagine), but having him be pretty cute, at that, heheheh~
Honestly, I was kind of surprised to discover that there was an entire second route; and I'm not so sure the story even needs it, considering how complete the story felt and how fully explored the character arcs felt in the Rowan route~ Indeed, the central tension of the queen's royal obligations versus her indulgence in her jester's twisted love—and the subsequent subterfuge and ensuing nightmare ritual—would ultimately be largely unchanged, regardless of the face and shape of her drone sperm donor suitor, no?
Nevertheless, great work, doubly so for a first jam game, heheheh~
