Had a look at Rad Racer. Looks like an amazing game. Now I wish I had a NES 😅
Glad you like the game. I don't want to promise anything but if I find the time, I'm at least going to try to implement the rhythm game mechanics and see if they would work withouth completely crashing the game's performance 😄
Thanks a lot for the offer. But I think I already know how I would implement the rhythm game system (music routines that fire projectiles). I know that I might have to scale back the current amount of stuff going on in the background. The animation uses a combination of submapping, actor animation and palette swapping. Tile swapping would really tank the performance.
