Wow, I like this, it's a very cute game with an adorably designed character and visuals :)
I leave detailed feedback on each game I play to try and help as much as possible, so here's mine:
- The start menu buttons animating was cool and I was not expecting a full cutscene :O
- In my journey I came across a blue round alien, I wonder if that served a purpose or it was a fun tidbit!
- There were many things I liked here:
- Every arrow key had a purpose and did what I expected it to do when grappling, which made for intuitive controls.
- The movement was very polished, which is hard to do during a jam so I really liked that.
- Character was well animated too and responsive - I remember liking its walk animation.
Some things I think can be improved:
- When entering the dungeon, I think it could've used more checkpoints, OR
- Not have the enemies respawn and forcing us to kill it every time, as it gets tedious/repetitive.
- I think those can lead to ragequits especially for those who don't frequent the genre.
- I think the part when u have to grapple across the lava and can hook onto those round things that fall off, this part was especially brutal as I failed a few times here and falling into the lava instantly sends you back to the beginning.
Nonetheless, I really liked the grappling mechanic - my favourite moment was using it to swing across vast distances quickly which was really fun! Audio and visuals definitely are one of the most polished ones I've seen so far personally.
